Senior Backend Developer (Drupal)

Salary: 90,000 – 100,000 PHP

We are looking for a Drupal Developer for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision. 

Responsibilities

  • As a Drupal Developer developing and maintaining custom Drupal modules and themes, ensuring they align with business requirements and follow best development practices;
  • You will be planning and executing Drupal core and module upgrades, including deprecated code remediation, while validating system stability and minimizing potential risks;
  • You will be investigating and resolving application incidents, performing detailed troubleshooting to identify root issues and restore system functionality efficiently;
  • You will be conducting root cause analysis for recurring or high-impact issues and implementing approved fixes or configuration changes to prevent future occurrences;
  • You will be monitoring application health, performance, and batch jobs, proactively identifying anomalies to ensure system availability and long-term stability;
  • You will be collaborating with UI/UX, DevOps, infrastructure, and business teams, contributing to the delivery of new features and resolution of complex technical challenges;
  • You will be managing databases and integrating APIs, ensuring reliable data exchange and consistency across systems;
  • You will be using Git, Drush, and Composer for version control and deployments, supporting CI/CD pipelines and ensuring smooth release processes;
  • You will be assisting in UAT, validating deployments, and supporting go-live activities, ensuring that releases meet quality and business expectations;
  • You will be maintaining technical documentation and identifying opportunities for automation and incident reduction, contributing to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

Requirement

  • 3+ Experience with Drupal development, ensuring strong expertise across Drupal 8, 9, 10 and 11;
  • Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
  • Experience with Drupal core upgrades, module updates, and migration between major Drupal versions, ensuring smooth transitions and system continuity;
  • Experience with enterprise-level or high-traffic web applications, ensuring scalability and stable performance under load; 
  • Strong proficiency in PHP and Drupal including custom modules, architecture, and version upgrades, ensuring maintainable code and proper deprecated code remediation; 
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts including PostgreSQL or MySQL, enabling effective data management, API integration, and log analysis; 
  • Knowledge of Git, Drush, Composer, basic Linux commands, and SDLC practices, enabling structured development and deployment workflows; 
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as Jira or HDA, enabling effective incident, problem, and change management as well as RCA documentation;
  • Experience with cloud platforms and Docker, ensuring flexible and scalable deployment environments;
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, ensuring effective issue resolution with attention to detail;
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently, enabling effective collaboration and performance under pressure during production incidents.

Nice to have

  • Basic scripting or automation skills, enabling support for process optimization and reduction of repetitive tasks.

  • Salary for work amounting to 90,000 – 100,000 PHP;
