Salary: 60,000 – 70,000 PHP
We are looking for a Backend Developer for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities
- As a Backend Developer, you will be supporting and enhancing backend applications by addressing issues raised by project managers and stakeholders, ensuring system stability and responsiveness;
- You will be analyzing reported problems to detect their root causes, using debugging and logging techniques to trace errors within the application logic or data flow;
- You will be implementing preventive measures for recurring issues, identifying long-term solutions and deploying code changes to reduce support overhead;
- You will be documenting all development work, including identified problems, technical findings, and implemented resolutions, to support knowledge sharing and future troubleshooting.
Requirement
- 5+ years of experience in analysis and development using IBM Sterling, demonstrating deep understanding of integration workflows and backend processing;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Strong foundational knowledge of Sterling messages, core concepts, and processes, allowing you to effectively interpret and troubleshoot integration scenarios;
- Familiarity with secure communication protocols such as SFTP, supporting reliable and compliant data exchange with external systems;
- Solid understanding of relational database concepts and proficiency in writing SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and validate data;
- Ability to write and execute basic SQL scripts for day-to-day data validation, reporting, and backend support tasks;
- Experience in coordinating with the Quality Control team to validate and test deliverables before deployment, ensuring solution quality and correctness;
- Competence in writing and maintaining clean, well-documented code and technical documentation, following detailed functional or technical specifications;
- Adherence to CMMI-defined processes and documentation standards, contributing to consistency, audit readiness, and continuous improvement;
- Proactive approach to continuous learning through reading, research, and self-directed study, keeping your skills up to date with evolving backend technologies;
- Willingness to conduct brownbag training sessions, sharing knowledge and insights with team members to foster collaboration and technical growth.

- Salary for work amounting to 60,000 – 70,000 PHP;
