Salary: 100,000 – 110,000 PHP
We are looking for a Backend Developer for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities
- As a Backend Developer you will be designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems and applications that power business-critical solutions. You will be collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, translating complex requirements into scalable and maintainable code;
- You will be designing, modifying, developing, and implementing software programming applications and components, ensuring that all solutions are efficient, reliable, and aligned with best practices in software engineering;
- You will be working directly with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, Support, Implementation teams, and other key stakeholders to identify challenges, define solutions, and ensure timely and successful delivery of features and system improvements;
- You will be participating in the full software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support;
- You will be providing Level 3+ support to both internal and external users, investigating complex issues, and performing safe and controlled modifications to production environments to ensure system stability;
- You will be participating in code reviews and technical discussions, sharing best practices and continuously contributing to the enhancement of development standards;
- You will be collaborating within Agile teams, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery to maintain development velocity and quality;
- You will be documenting your work clearly and comprehensively, ensuring that code, systems, and technical processes are well-understood and easily maintainable by the wider engineering team.
Requirement
- 5+ years of hands-on experience and/or training in ANSI-C/C++ programming, demonstrating solid understanding of performance, memory management, and system-level development;
- 5+ years of experience working with SQL databases, including query optimization, stored procedures, and schema design;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Proven experience with Agile development methodologies, contributing actively to sprint execution and backlog management;
- Experience using Azure DevOps and JIRA for project tracking, CI/CD pipelines, and collaboration;
- Deep understanding of software development best practices, including code reviews, source control, unit testing, and deployment automation;
- Strong knowledge of modern programming languages, frameworks, and open-source technologies, enabling adaptability to evolving tech stacks;
- Solid understanding of infrastructure technologies and secure computing environments, including networking, operating systems, servers, and storage;
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, promoting teamwork, clear communication, and shared accountability across all levels of the organization.
Nice to have
- Experience working with Rx Solutions Technologies, giving you a deeper insight into data flow and reactive programming approaches.
