We are looking for a Data Engineer for our international client who operates in the maritime transportation and logistics sector. The organization manages complex global shipping operations, delivering vehicles, machinery, and industrial cargo worldwide. By leveraging advanced technologies and data-driven decision-making, the company is committed to improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, and supporting sustainable business growth.
This is a 6-month project with the possibility of extension
Responsibilities
- As Data Engineer you will be working closely with the Data Science team to design and support complex algorithms, enabling the generation of meaningful insights and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization;
- You will be using Agile software development methodologies to deliver iterative improvements to backend systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and continuous enhancement of data solutions;
- You will be modeling frontend and backend data sources, creating a comprehensive view of user journeys and system interactions to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives;
- You will be building and maintaining data pipelines that extract, cleanse, transform, and aggregate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and availability for analytical workloads;
- You will be developing and optimizing data models that support predictive analytics, business reporting, and strategic decision-making across various business functions.
Requirement
- 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, ETL, or Data Engineering, ensuring strong expertise in designing and maintaining enterprise data solutions;
- Ability to work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Makati and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Experience with ERP and finance or accounting data integration, enabling support for business-critical reporting and operational processes;
- Experience with Azure SQL Database, enabling development and support of cloud-based data storage solutions;
- Experience with Oracle ODI, enabling implementation and maintenance of data integration and transformation processes;
- Experience with PySpark, enabling scalable processing and transformation of large data volumes;
- Experience with S3 or Object Storage solutions, enabling efficient management of structured and unstructured data assets;
- Experience with Oracle Database and PL/SQL, enabling advanced database development and data processing activities;
- Strong SQL skills and experience with dimensional data modeling, enabling efficient design of analytical and reporting data structures;
- Experience with ETL and ELT tools such as ODI, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory, or similar technologies, enabling reliable movement and transformation of data across platforms;
- Experience with REST API integrations, enabling seamless connectivity between enterprise systems and external data sources.

- Salary for work amounting to 100,000 – 140,000 PHP;
