We are looking for a Backend Analyst for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities
- As a Backend Analyst, you will be providing support and enhancements to backend applications, addressing issues and requests raised by project managers and stakeholders, ensuring business continuity and system reliability;
- You will be investigating and diagnosing the root cause of technical issues, performing thorough analysis to understand the underlying problems and dependencies within the system;
- You will be implementing preventive actions and fixes for recurring issues, working proactively to ensure long-term stability and minimize service interruptions;
- You will be collaborating within a team environment, taking shared responsibility for the on-time delivery of multiple customer projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements;
- You will be maintaining clear communication with IT customers and stakeholders, keeping them regularly updated on the status of their requests, incidents, and enhancement deliveries;
- You will be escalating unresolved issues that fall outside of your scope or cannot be addressed within the established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring timely handover and resolution.
Requirement
- 5+ years of experience in analysis and development using EDI Gentran or IBM Sterling technologies, demonstrating expertise in managing complex EDI environments;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Availability to work night shifts exclusively, supporting business operations and issue resolution aligned with international time zones;
- Strong foundational knowledge of EDI/Sterling messaging formats, concepts, and processes, ensuring effective handling of data exchange and B2B communications;
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as SFTP, enabling secure data transmission between systems;
- Proficiency in basic SQL commands and scripting, supporting data extraction, transformation, and troubleshooting;
- Coordination with the Quality Control team to ensure thorough testing and validation of development output before deployment;
- Ability to write and maintain comprehensive programming and project documentation based on detailed technical specifications, ensuring clarity and traceability;
- Understanding and application of CMMI-defined processes and documentation standards, contributing to continuous process improvement and adherence to industry best practices;
- A proactive attitude toward continuous learning, enhancing your knowledge through reading and self-study to stay up to date with evolving technologies and methodologies.

- Salary for work amounting to 55,000 – 65,000 PHP;
