We are looking for an Accounting Specialist for our French client, who specializes in producing various types of glasses and collaborating with opticians. Their mission is to enhance the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities
- As Accounting Specialist you will be preparing journal entries to accurately record financial transactions and ensure the general ledger reflects the true state of the company’s finances;
- You will be preparing account reconciliations based on established deadlines, helping to identify discrepancies and maintain consistency across financial records;
- You will be assisting the Senior Accountant in reviewing and validating closing transactions of assigned entities, contributing to a smooth and timely month-end process;
- You will be validating the details of annual budgets and quarterly estimates submitted by the entities, confirming the accuracy and completeness of planning figures;
- You will be updating and publishing Estimate and Actual Financial Statement reports to support variance analysis and help the business understand key deviations;
- You will be gathering, preparing, and analyzing financial information and ad hoc reports requested by business users, supporting data-driven decisions across departments;
- You will be monitoring key performance indicators, identifying patterns, and analyzing the root causes of any unexpected variances to improve financial performance;
- You will be collecting and organizing information for the monthly Balanced Scorecard, including customer feedback and report delivery timeliness, to track overall performance;
- You will be conducting self-evaluations following the PLP process, supporting your personal growth and contribution to team goals;
- You will be supporting the external audit process by preparing detailed financial schedules and providing documentation requested by auditors and local finance teams.
Requirement
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in audit or financial accounting, providing the knowledge and confidence to handle reporting and reconciliation tasks independently;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- Practical experience with SAP, especially within the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger modules, to efficiently navigate daily financial operations;
- Familiarity with SOX compliance processes, allowing you to support internal control and regulatory standards in a structured financial environment;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to perform detailed analysis, build accurate reports, and manage complex datasets;
- Willingness to work in shifting schedules, including occasional alignment with European time zones, depending on reporting timelines and business needs.
