We are looking for a Linux Architect for our French client, who specializes with the production of various types of glasses as well as cooperation with opticians. Their mission is to improve the quality of life by improving the quality of vision.
Responsibilities
- As Linux Architect you will be providing subject matter expertise in Linux technologies, defining non-functional requirements and supporting strategic initiatives related to Linux platforms;
- You will be addressing ongoing compliance requirements, advising on Linux infrastructure security fixes and ensuring alignment with security standards;
- You will be designing and influencing architectural decisions within the Linux platform area, contributing to key technical directions and long-term solutions;
- You will be working with vendors and defining roadmap strategies for virtual platforms, ensuring alignment with business and infrastructure goals;
- You will be selecting and implementing tools to efficiently manage the Linux environment, improving automation, monitoring, and operational effectiveness;
- You will be contributing to the continuous improvement cycle for all functional and operational aspects of Linux platforms, driving optimization and standardization;
- You will be leading problem records related to Linux platforms and owning them until resolution, ensuring timely and effective issue management;
- You will be providing lifecycle management strategies for Linux platforms, ensuring stability, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
Requirement
- 5+ years of experience in Linux technologies, ensuring strong expertise and practical experience in enterprise environments;
- Work in a hybrid set up (3 days onsite in Alabang, Muntinlupa and 2 days WFH) – Necessary condition;
- RHCE certification, ensuring validated expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration;
- Experience with high-density HPE enterprise hardware, enabling management of large-scale infrastructure environments;
- Experience with Linux automation at scale in Infrastructure as Code format, ensuring efficient and repeatable system management;
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platforms, enabling deployment and management of cloud-based infrastructure;
- Experience with large-scale Linux deployments, ensuring reliability and consistency across environments;
- Knowledge of at least one major UNIX or Linux scripting language, enabling automation and system customization;
- Experience with creating Linux binary packages from source, enabling customization and control over software distribution;
- Knowledge of enterprise Linux administration including Red Hat Enterprise Linux CentOS and Debian or Ubuntu LTS, ensuring support across different distributions;
- Experience with Linux virtualization technologies including QEMU, enabling efficient resource utilization and environment management;
- Experience with automation of Linux system monitoring, ensuring proactive detection of issues and performance tracking;
- Experience with automated Linux OS and application installation, enabling scalable and consistent provisioning;
- Exposure to FreeBSD, enabling understanding of alternative UNIX-like systems;
- Exposure to enterprise SIEM and embedded Linux, enabling awareness of security monitoring and specialized environments;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, enabling integration with enterprise identity systems;
- Knowledge of Azure AD and SAML-based Single Sign-On solutions, enabling secure authentication and access management;
- Knowledge of VMware, enabling management of virtualized environments;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and desktop operating systems, enabling cross-platform collaboration;
- Knowledge of IT security concepts, enabling secure system design and operations;
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts, enabling effective troubleshooting and system connectivity management.

- Salary for work amounting to 120,000 – 130,000 PHP;
